Today marks the day when Jesus had his last supper with his disciples. Hours after the last supper, he was betrayed by Judas in the garden of Gethsemane, which lead to his arrest and crucifixion on Good Friday.

Good Friday is the day in which Jesus, having been betrayed by Judas, was sentenced to death by Pontius Pilate, and was crucified. There is no Mass celebrated in the churches on Good Friday, instead there is a special liturgy in which the Passion is read.
